Airbus Widens Lead Over Boeing in July Orders and Deliveries
Airbus solidified its lead over Boeing in both aircraft sales and deliveries in July 2026. The European manufacturer secured 204 new orders, bringing its year-to-date total to 1,090 aircraft.
The strong performance was driven by commitments for the A320neo family from major leasing companies during the Farnborough International Airshow. Airbus also delivered 67 commercial aircraft in July, pushing its 2026 delivery total to 418 and further extending its lead over Boeing.
Boeing, on the other hand, recorded just 38 gross orders in July, with half of those commitments coming from the 737 family. The company handed over 53 aircraft during the month, down from 64 in June, and maintained a narrowbody segment as the backbone of its output.
