Aircraft Parts Transformed into Iconic Arsenal Emblem
Emirates and Arsenal unveiled 'The Aircrafted Arsenal Crest', a massive sculpture made from upcycled components of Emirates' Airbus A380 and Boeing 777 aircraft. The installation stands at an impressive 2.4 meters high and was created by a team of 15 engineers, designers, mechanics, and technicians in just 34 days.
The sculpture is a celebration of the 20-year partnership between Emirates and Arsenal, which has been extended through to 2033. At its center is the iconic Arsenal cannon, reconstructed using components from an Emirates Airbus A380, including a main landing gear wheel hub and a section of titanium bleed air duct reshaped into its barrel.
The shield's face was created from Boeing 777 aluminium fuselage skin, while cargo tracks were adapted to form its outer edge and internal structure. The Arsenal lettering was individually shaped from aircraft windows and fitted with integrated warm white lighting.
Emirates Engineering designed and built the sculpture in-house, using bespoke aircraft components selected for their strength, shape, and potential to be transformed. The finished piece was then painted to match Arsenal's official color specifications and fitted with its lighting system before being flown from Dubai to London on an Emirates SkyCargo freighter.
