Airlines and Tech Giants Boost Trump Account Contributions
American Airlines has announced that it will contribute $1,000 to eligible employees' children's Trump Accounts, matching the federal government's seed contribution. The company also plans to allow employees to contribute up to $2,500 of their pretax earnings annually to these accounts starting in 2027.
More than 50 companies have committed to contributing to Trump Accounts for their workers, with companies including Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley offering to fully match the government's $1,000 contribution. Dell has also started distributing $250 grants to eligible children's Trump Accounts.
The Dell Foundation announced that these funds will be automatically deposited starting Monday, August 31. Michael Dell stated that the first funds were already moving to activated accounts for children in Texas and that more children across the country would follow soon.
