Akasa Air Expands Fleet to 42 Aircraft with New Boeing Delivery
Akasa Air has expanded its fleet to 42 aircraft with the induction of its Boeing 737 MAX 8-200, registration number VT-YBS. The plane arrived at Navi Mumbai International Airport on September 1, marking the airline's eleventh addition in CY2026.
The 42nd aircraft is equipped with Safran Z200 seats, a next-generation seating solution designed to elevate the in-flight experience. This includes features like a generous four-inch recline, contoured backrest, and enhanced seating area, alongside additional conveniences such as USB-C and USB-A ports.
Akasa Air has placed a firm order for 226 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft, with a pipeline of 186 additional aircraft scheduled for delivery over the next six years. The airline aims to contribute to India's fast-growing aviation story by expanding its fleet and connecting more destinations.
