Akasa Air's Fleet Grows to 42 with New Boeing 737 MAX Induction

Akasa Air's fleet has grown to 42 aircraft with the addition of its 11th new Boeing 737 MAX in CY2026. The airline took delivery of a Boeing 737 MAX 8-200, registration number VT-YBS, at Navi Mumbai International Airport on September 1.

This new aircraft is equipped with Safran Z200 seats, designed to provide an enhanced passenger experience. Akasa Air has placed a firm order for 226 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft and has a pipeline of 186 additional deliveries over the next six years.

The airline emphasized its commitment to connecting more destinations across India and contributing to the country's growing aviation story.
