Allegiant Expands at SFB with Nine New Routes
Allegiant Air is expanding its operations at Orlando Sanford International Airport (SFB) with nine new routes launching this September. The airline will operate twice-weekly flights to Albany, New York; Atlantic City, New Jersey; Columbia, Missouri; Huntsville, Alabama; Key West, Florida; Little Rock, Arkansas; Omaha, Nebraska; and Toledo, Ohio.
These new routes are part of Allegiant's larger expansion plans at SFB, which will see the airline operate 578 departures from the airport in September. This represents a 7.6% increase compared to last year's figure of 537 departures.
The addition of these nine new routes has contributed to impressive growth at SFB, with seat capacity up by 8.1%. The airline is also deploying larger aircraft on flights out of the airport, which are likely being delivered as part of Allegiant's ongoing Boeing 737 MAX 8-200 deliveries.
