Alpena Resident Irma Mae Schuelke Passes Away at 88
Irma Mae Schuelke, an 88-year-old Alpena resident, passed away on August 15, 2026. She was born to Angus and Minnie McDonald on December 25, 1937. In 1956, she married Mary Schuelke, who preceded her in death on April 8, 2016.
Schuelke was a member of the First United Methodist Church - Alpena and enjoyed quilting and attending her grandchildren's events. She is survived by three sons: Gary (Kathleen) Schuelke, Brent (Bernice) Schuelke, Scott (Trish) Schuelke; five grandchildren: Gary Schuelke, Ryan James (Kayla) Schuelke, Ryan Joseph Schuelke, Alana Schuelke, Abigail Schuelke; and a sister, Jane Walker.
A private graveside service will take place at a later date. Cremation arrangements were handled by the Bannan Funeral Home, with inurnment to follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
