Alphabet Leaps Ahead in Cloud Computing Growth

Alphabet's cloud computing business is growing faster than its peers, Amazon and Microsoft. Google Cloud revenue increased by 82% year over year in the second quarter, compared to 37% for AWS and 43% for Azure.

This growth is due in part to Alphabet's expertise in data analytics and machine learning, as well as its booming AI business. The company has a strong position in AI, with many businesses choosing Google Cloud to build and run AI applications.

Alphabet also dominates the digital advertising market, with a near-monopoly in internet search and a leading video-sharing platform in YouTube.

The company's cloud backlog ended the second quarter at $514 billion, partly due to its growing AI business. This growth is expected to continue, as Alphabet capitalizes on AI infrastructure spending.
