Alphabet Stock Stumbles Amid AI Infrastructure Investments

However, in the longer term, Alphabet's stock has performed well, with an 8.8% year-to-date rise and a 64.2% increase over the past 52 weeks. In contrast, XLK has seen a 31% YTD gain and a 42.6% return over the same period.

Alphabet's stock price has been trending upward since late June, with the company trading above its 50-day and 200-day moving averages.
