Alphabet's AI Push Lifts Shares, but Weak Momentum Persists
Alphabet Inc., parent company of Google, has made significant announcements in the AI space. The tech giant entered into an artificial intelligence partnership with Morgan State University, creating a Center of Excellence and expanding access to advanced GPU resources through Google Cloud and Nvidia.
The company also revealed a €13 billion AI investment in Finland. These developments have contributed to Alphabet's stock price increase, with shares climbing 2.42% after the announcements.
However, despite these partnerships and investments, technical signals indicate weak momentum for Alphabet's stock. The current price of $340.68 is below both its 20-day and 50-day moving averages, suggesting sustained short-term and medium-term pressure from sellers.
