Alteogen has reached its first sales milestone tied to Keytruda SC revenue, worth $25 million. This achievement is part of a license agreement between Alteogen and Merck (MSD), with a total of $1 billion in sales milestones.

Keytruda SC, a subcutaneous formulation of the immunotherapy drug Keytruda, has seen rapid growth since its launch last October. Quarterly sales have surged to $128 million in Q1 this year and $463 million in Q2, with first-half sales reaching $590 million (about 812.1 billion won).

Alteogen's Hybrozyme platform is being used by MSD to convert the existing intravenous formulation of Keytruda to a subcutaneous injection. The expansion of the Keytruda SC market is also influenced by streamlined insurance billing procedures in the United States.

This milestone marks the start of securing revenue linked to actual product sales, beyond royalties incurred during development stages such as clinical trials and approvals.
