Amazon Adds Cybersecurity Expert Kevin Mandia to Its Board

Amazon's board has welcomed Kevin Mandia, founder of cybersecurity firm Mandiant, as its newest member. Mandia joins after his company was acquired by Google for $5.4bn in September 2022.

Mandia has over 30 years of experience in the field and is known for his expertise in AI threats. In a blog post last March, he wrote that 'if there's a way in, the modern AI threat will find it.'

He will sit on Amazon's Audit Committee and Security Committee. Mandia's appointment takes the board to 12 members.
