Amazon Air Plane Overruns Miami Runway in Fatal Incident

A devastating incident occurred at Miami International Airport on September 6, when an Amazon Air Boeing 767 freighter operated by 21 Air overran one of its runways. The aircraft was attempting to land on runway 30 when it went past the end of the runway and struck multiple vehicles, causing a fire. At least five people were killed in the incident, with another five injured.

The accident occurred at around 2:00 PM local time, and the airport's runways and taxiways were closed as a result. However, one runway has since been reopened, with flights expected to resume at around 5:30 PM local time.

Amazon spokesperson Kelly Nantel expressed the company's condolences for the victims' families, stating that 'we're heartbroken to learn that five people lost their lives in today's incident at Miami International Airport.' The US Federal Aviation Administration has launched an investigation into the incident, with the National Transportation Safety Board also sending a team to assist.
