Amazon and Alphabet Offer Hidden AI Exposure
Amazon and Alphabet are two tech giants that offer indirect exposure to Anthropic, a company behind the Claude AI models. With a valuation near $1 trillion, Anthropic is set for one of the most anticipated public offerings in years. However, not everyone can buy into Anthropic directly.
The 'Magnificent Seven' group already owns significant stakes in Anthropic, with Amazon being its largest corporate backer. Amazon has committed roughly $33 billion to Anthropic and pledged to invest tens of billions more, giving it a stake worth over $100 billion. Alphabet also owns around 14% of Anthropic, a stake worth approximately $135 billion at recent valuations.
For those with $500, buying into both Amazon and Alphabet provides exposure to Anthropic ahead of its IPO. This approach captures the upside from two of the AI lab's biggest owners while owning dominant, cash-generating businesses that can thrive regardless of Anthropic's outcome.
