Amazon and Alphabet's AI Stakes Soar Ahead of Anthropic's Highly Anticipated IPO

Amazon and Alphabet are two tech giants that already have a significant stake in Anthropic, the AI lab behind the popular Claude AI models. These companies have invested heavily in Anthropic, with Amazon committing around $33 billion to the lab and pledging to invest tens of billions more. This gives them a stake worth over $100 billion.

Alphabet also owns roughly 14% of Anthropic, a stake worth around $135 billion at recent valuations. Both companies have agreed to spend significant amounts on Amazon Web Services and Google Cloud respectively, making them anchor customers for these services.

Investors can buy into both Amazon and Alphabet with just $500, effectively gaining exposure to Anthropic before its highly anticipated IPO. However, it's worth noting that the stakes held by these companies are still relatively small compared to their massive market caps, so Anthropic alone won't transform either stock overnight.
