Amazon's e-commerce and AI infrastructure opportunities continue to attract institutional investors. According to its recent 13F filing, Family Investment Center Inc. increased its stake in Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN) by a significant 205.7% during the second quarter.

The institutional investor purchased an additional 2,763 shares of Amazon's stock during the quarter, bringing its total holdings to 4,106 shares valued at $979,000 as of its most recent filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

This move is part of a broader trend of investors betting on Amazon's AI infrastructure opportunity. Other institutional investors such as Stanley Druckenmiller, who increased Duquesne's AMZN position more than tenfold, and Philippe Laffont's Coatue, which expanded its stake 49%, are also optimistic about the company's prospects.

Amazon's robust growth in e-commerce revenue and expanding AI infrastructure investment remain key bullish factors for analysts. However, some potential near-term cash returns may be pressured by heavy capital expenditures. The FTC has sued Amazon, alleging it overcharged advertisers by more than $20 billion, which could also impact its advertising business.
