Amazon AWS Expands GovCloud with Major AI Model Providers
Amazon's AWS GovCloud platform is expanding its AI model access for U.S. government customers, adding major providers such as Anthropic, Meta, and OpenAI.
The move aims to increase growth in Amazon's cloud business, which reported a 37% year-over-year revenue increase in the second quarter of 2026, with operating income rising 63% from a year earlier.
AWS GovCloud will now allow government agencies to use AI model families from several third-party providers through Amazon Bedrock, including NVIDIA's offerings and Amazon's Nova models within an isolated cloud environment.
