Amazon Blasts Past $3 Trillion Market Cap on Robust Cloud Growth
Amazon's stock price has hit an all-time high, pushing its market cap over $3 trillion for the first time.
The surge comes after the company reported better-than-expected earnings last week, with adjusted earnings per share reaching $1.97 and revenue exceeding estimates at $200.61 billion.
Amazon's cloud growth was a key driver of this success, with Amazon Web Services (AWS) revenue hitting $42.2 billion and beating StreetAccount expectations by nearly 4%.
CEO Andy Jassy noted that even with increased capital expenditures of $220 billion for the year, 'we will still not have enough capacity to meet all the demand we have in 2026, and I believe this dynamic will also be true in 2027 too.'
