Amazon Cargo Jet Crashes at Miami Airport: Five Killed in Runway Overrun
A cargo jet operated by Amazon Prime Air skidded off a Miami International Airport runway on September 6, resulting in the deaths of at least five people and injuring five more.
The Boeing 767-300, operated by 21 Air for Amazon, overran the runway and broke through perimeter fencing before hitting vehicles on a nearby road. The crash also damaged multiple cars and Tesla Cybercab prototypes parked in an adjacent lot.
Fortunately, none of the Tesla Cybercabs were struck by the jet. However, the close call highlights the potential risks of driverless fleets operating alongside traditional traffic.
