Amazon Cargo Jet Crashes at Miami International Airport
An Amazon Prime Air cargo plane has crashed at Miami International Airport, killing five people and injuring at least five others.
The incident occurred on Sunday afternoon when the Boeing 767 aircraft, operated by 21 Air, overran the runway and struck multiple vehicles near the airport grounds.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue responded with more than 60 units, including about 200 individuals, to assist in the response.
The plane had arrived from San Juan, Puerto Rico around 2:00pm ET when it burst past the runway boundaries and caught on fire, sparking a heavy smoke response from first responders.
