An Amazon cargo jet crash at Miami International Airport on September 7, 2026, resulted in five fatalities and injured five others. The pilot of Prime Air Flight 7598 had jumped out of the plane just moments after it landed from Puerto Rico and careened off the runway. The Boeing 767 jet burst into flames as it plowed into multiple vehicles.

According to eyewitness Olvin Henriquez, who was passing by with his 4-month-old daughter, the pilot struggled to get out of the downed plane before dropping to the ground and hobbling away from the burning wreckage. The crash happened at around 2 p.m., and investigators are still working to determine what caused it.

Amazon released a statement expressing their sympathy for the families affected by the incident, saying they were 'heartbroken' over the loss of life. It remains unclear why the plane was unable to stop before running off the runway.
