An Amazon cargo plane overran the runway at Miami International Airport and struck multiple vehicles on September 6, 2026. The incident led to a ground stop being issued while first responders assessed the scene.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue deployed more than 60 units in response to the crash. According to Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy, 'We’ve issued a full ground stop at Miami International while first responders assess the scene after an Amazon cargo plane overran the runway.'
