Amazon Cargo Jet Pilot's Career May Be Over After Deadly Crash

An Amazon cargo jet that overshot a Miami runway and crashed into multiple vehicles on Sunday has left five people dead and five others injured. The plane, operated by 21 Air, was landing at Miami International Airport from Puerto Rico when it veered off the runway and burst into flames.

According to eyewitness Abraham Altamar, one of the pilots, identified as Felipe Silva Molina or Joseph Carroll, was visibly distressed outside the wreckage. He borrowed a phone from an airport employee to call his wife and let her know he was okay, saying 'My career is over' in a conversation that was witnessed by Altamar.

The pilot's composure was short-lived as he broke down after speaking with his wife. Altamar described the scene as 'surreal' and 'scary', adding that the crash was devastating to witness.
