Amazon Cargo Plane Crash Kills Five Cleaning Crew Workers at MIA
Five cleaning crew workers were killed in an Amazon cargo plane crash at Miami International Airport on September 6, 2026. The victims worked for Professional Ocean Service Corp, which has been cleaning planes at the airport for at least 15 years.
The five people who lost their lives in the accident were identified as Rolando Aleman Leon, 55; Yoel Rodríguez Naranjo, 53; Julio C. Pineda, 75; Carlos Acosta Fajardo, 53; and Javierkys Reyes Quevedo, 47.
The victims' families have retained attorneys to file wrongful death lawsuits against Amazon, the plane's operator 21 Air, and the pilots, Joseph Caroll and Jaime Felipe Silva Moreno. The lawsuits aim to determine who is responsible for the tragedy.
