Amazon Cargo Plane Crash Kills Five, Leaves Two Critical

At Miami International Airport, five people died and two others remain hospitalized in critical condition after a cargo plane operated by Amazon crashed on Saturday.

The victims were identified as Rolando Aleman Leon, 55; Yoel Rodriguez Narajo, 53; Julio C Pineda, 75; Carlos Acosta Fajardo, 53; and Javierkys Reyes Quevedo, 47. They worked for Professional Ocean Service Corporation, a contract cleaning company.

The plane, a Boeing 767 operated by 21 Air llc under contract to Amazon, crashed through fencing onto a roadway after landing from San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Robert Clifford, an aviation attorney, believes pilot error may have caused the crash. He said it appears to be a 'classic tailwind landing mistake' where the pilot mistakenly decided to land with a tailwind instead of a headwind.
