Amazon Cargo Plane Crash Survivor Files Lawsuit Against Company and Pilots

A lawsuit has been filed on behalf of Roosevelt Sebastian Perdomo Torres, a 27-year-old survivor of the Amazon cargo plane crash near Miami International Airport last weekend. The crash occurred on September 6, 2026, and resulted in five fatalities and five injuries, including Perdomo Torres' critical injuries.

The lawsuit was filed by the Miami law firm Podhurst Orseck, P.A., who is also conducting an independent investigation into the crash along with the National Transportation Safety Board. The attorneys representing Perdomo Torres stated that he suffered immediate fractures from the ground impact and has other serious injuries.

The Amazon cargo plane was operated by 21 Air, which is controlled by Houston Astros owner Jim Crane through an LLC. The company has faced a string of safety complaints from senior staff who claim they were fired for raising concerns about the aircraft's stability and landing procedures.
