Amazon Cargo Plane Crashes at MIA, Five Killed in Incident

A Boeing 767 cargo plane operated by Amazon's Prime Air went off a runway at Miami International Airport (MIA) on Sunday, resulting in five fatalities and five injuries.

The incident occurred around 2 p.m. when the plane overran the northwest end of the airport's diagonal runway, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.

A ground stop was issued after the crash, and all runways were closed for hours, but two of the airport's four runways reopened by 4:15 p.m. on Sunday.

The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) is investigating the cause of the crash, which has led to numerous flight delays and cancellations at MIA on Monday.
