Amazon Cargo Plane Crashes at Miami Airport, Five Dead

A cargo plane operated by 21 Air on behalf of Amazon overran the runway at Miami International Airport, resulting in at least five deaths and several injuries. The Boeing 767-300, which was flying from Puerto Rico, crashed into cars in a parking lot in front of a logistics complex used by Amazon.

According to Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava, 'We can confirm that at least five people have died.'

The plane was supposed to land on runway 30, which is 2,853 meters long. However, it overran the runway and crashed into cars, causing a fire.

Amazon's head of media relations, Kelly Nantel, stated, 'We can confirm that an Amazon Air aircraft, operated by 21 Air, was involved in an incident today while attempting to land at Miami International Airport.'

The U.S. National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has dispatched its specialists to the scene and is investigating the crash.
