Amazon Cargo Plane Crashes at Miami International Airport
An Amazon Boeing 767 cargo plane crashed on a road outside of Miami International Airport on Sunday, September 6, 2026.
The incident occurred around 2 p.m. after the plane had just landed in Miami from San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Terrifying footage obtained by NBC 6 showed the plane askew across the roadway with huge clouds of black smoke billowing up from the wreckage.
The plane appeared to be largely intact where it lay on the road, but flames were also seen burning from somewhere along the fuselage.
A ground stop was ordered across the airport after the accident, preventing all planes at the airport from lifting off.
