Amazon Cargo Plane Crashes at Miami International Airport
An Amazon cargo plane crashed at Miami International Airport on Sunday afternoon after overrunning the runway and striking multiple vehicles. According to the Federal Aviation Administration, the Boeing 767 had just arrived from San Juan, Puerto Rico.
The incident occurred around 2 p.m., with more than 60 units of Miami-Dade Fire Rescue responding to the scene. Flames and smoke could be seen coming from the crash site, with multiple patients reported by the fire department.
The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating the cause of the plane's overrun, which has resulted in a full ground stop at the airport. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy warned travelers to expect significant delays and potential cancellations due to the incident.
