Amazon Cargo Plane Crashes at Miami International Airport

An Amazon cargo plane overshot the runway upon landing at Miami International Airport on Sunday afternoon, resulting in the deaths of at least five people and injuring five others.

The Boeing 767-300 freighter, operated by 21 Air on behalf of Amazon, was attempting to land when it crashed into several vehicles shortly before 2 p.m.

Miami-Dade County officials said that 10 people were involved in the crash: five were killed, three are in critical condition and were transported to the trauma center, and another two were transported to a local hospital.

The National Transportation Safety Board and the Federal Aviation Administration are investigating the incident.
