Amazon Cargo Plane Crashes at Miami International Airport
An Amazon cargo plane crashed at Miami International Airport on September 6, 2026. The Boeing 767-300 jet, operated by 21 Air, was arriving from San Juan, Puerto Rico when it overran the runway.
The plane caught fire and struck multiple vehicles, resulting in five deaths and five hospitalizations, according to Miami-Dade Sheriff Rosie Cordero-Stutz.
A video obtained by NBC News Miami shows a black cloud of smoke billowing from the aircraft. The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating the incident.
