A devastating cargo plane crash at Miami International Airport on Sunday, September 6, has caused significant disruptions to air travel. An Amazon Prime Air flight operated by 21 Air, a Boeing 767-300, overran the airport's diagonal runway while landing from San Juan, Puerto Rico.

The aircraft struck several vehicles before catching fire and killing at least five people. Five others were injured, with three in critical condition. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and National Transportation Safety Board are investigating the cause of the crash.

As a result of the ground stop, arrivals and departures at Miami International Airport were temporarily halted while emergency crews responded to the scene. Over 60 Miami-Dade Fire Rescue units were sent to the airport.
