Amazon Cargo Plane Crashes at Miami International Airport
An Amazon cargo plane operated by 21 Air crashed at Miami International Airport on September 6th, overrunning the runway during landing and resulting in multiple injuries.
The Boeing 767-300 aircraft departed from Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Flights at the airport were grounded, and over 60 Miami-Dade Fire Rescue units were deployed to the scene.
When MDFR arrived, the plane was on fire and spewing heavy smoke. An Amazon spokesperson confirmed the incident and stated that they are still gathering details, but their priority is the safety and well-being of everyone involved.
