Amazon Cargo Plane Crashes at Miami International Airport

An Amazon Prime Air cargo plane crash at Miami International Airport on September 6 resulted in the deaths of five people, all occupants of two vehicles that were struck by the Boeing 767-300 freighter.

The plane, operated by 21 Air LLC, overran the runway and left a crash path of 1,300 feet beyond the paved runway, causing 'utter devastation' according to National Transportation Safety Board Chair Jennifer Homendy.

Five people were killed in the crash, including Rolando Aleman Leon, Yoel Rodriguez Narajo, Julio C. Pineda, Carlos Acosta Fajardo, and Javierk Reyes Quevedo.

The van that was struck belonged to Professional Ocean Service Corp., which was carrying seven employees at the time of the crash.
