Amazon Cargo Plane Crashes at Miami International Airport, Five Killed
A Boeing 767-300 cargo plane operated by 21 Air overran the runway at Miami International Airport on September 6, resulting in a devastating crash that killed five people and injured five others.
The aircraft, which was carrying Amazon cargo, had departed from San Juan, Puerto Rico, and was attempting to land at Miami when it went beyond the runway's edge and entered an area outside the airport's immediate operating surface.
According to authorities, the plane struck multiple vehicles before catching fire, prompting a large-scale emergency response from Miami-Dade Fire Rescue. The incident led to cancellations and delays as operations at the airport were temporarily disrupted.
The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has launched an investigation into the accident, with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) also examining the circumstances surrounding the runway overrun.
