Amazon Cargo Plane Crashes During Landing at Miami Airport
An Amazon cargo plane crash-landed at Miami International Airport on September 6, 2026. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) confirmed that Air Flight 7598, an Amazon Air Boeing 767-300 jet operated by cargo airline 21 Air, overran the diagonal runway during its landing.
The plane is disabled at the northwest end of the airport, and all runways and taxiways are closed. Over 60 Miami-Dade Fire Rescue units responded to the scene, and the fire department reported that the plane struck multiple vehicles.
Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy warned travelers to expect delays and potential cancellations due to the incident. The FAA has issued a ground stop at the airport until at least 4:30 p.m. ET and is investigating further.
