Amazon Cargo Plane Crashes in Miami After Pilot Warns of Excessive Speed

The investigation into the Amazon cargo plane crash in Miami has revealed that one of the pilots repeatedly warned about excessive speed nearly two minutes before the fatal landing. The U.S. National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) released excerpts from the cockpit recording, which shows the pilot warning 'too fast' twice before urging his co-pilot to abort the landing at the last second.

The plane, an Amazon Prime Air cargo aircraft, overshot the runway and crashed into a van carrying workers at a plane-cleaning company, killing five people. The two pilots survived but the incident has raised questions about their handling of the situation.

According to Mike O'Donnell, a former FAA official, the crew could have taken several steps to slow down the plane, including extending the spoilers, cutting the throttles, and lowering the landing gear.
