Amazon Cargo Plane Crashes into Vehicles at Miami International Airport
A tragic accident occurred at Miami International Airport on Sunday when an Amazon Air Boeing 767-300 cargo plane overran the runway while landing, resulting in five fatalities and five injuries. The aircraft, operated by 21 Air on behalf of Amazon, was traveling from San Juan, Puerto Rico.
The plane crashed into vehicles beyond the runway before catching fire. Emergency crews responded quickly to rescue those trapped in vehicles struck by the aircraft, including the two pilots who were trapped inside. Three people are in critical condition.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has launched an investigation into the cause of the accident, which is still unknown. The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has also dispatched a team to investigate the runway excursion.
