Professional Financial Advisors LLC increased its holdings in Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN) by 118.8% during the second quarter, according to a recent SEC filing. The fund purchased an additional 5,420 shares, taking its total stake to 9,984 shares worth $2,380,000 as of the latest filing.
This is not an isolated instance, with several other hedge funds and institutional investors modifying their holdings in Amazon.com during the same period. MilWealth Group LLC, for example, boosted its stake by 79.0% in the fourth quarter, while Elkhorn Partners Limited Partnership increased its position by a staggering 900.0%. Fairway Wealth LLC also added to its holdings, increasing them by 95.6%, and Prudent Man Investment Management Inc. lifted its stake by 87.7%.
Amazon.com's quarterly earnings release on July 30th had provided a boost to the company's stock price, with the e-commerce giant reporting $5.75 EPS for the quarter, exceeding analysts' estimates of $1.82 by $3.93. The company also announced its investment in Anthropic, an AI startup that could become highly valuable if reported IPO valuations hold.
