Amazon Cuts 121 Jobs in Washington State Amid Ongoing Layoffs
Amazon has announced another round of layoffs in Washington state, affecting 121 employees across multiple offices and facilities. According to a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN), the company will eliminate corporate positions in Seattle and Bellevue, as well as 32 jobs at its Sumner fulfillment center.
The affected workers were given 90 days' notice and can apply for internal transfers before the layoffs become final. The termination dates range from October 1 to October 27.
This latest round of layoffs comes after Amazon cut 30,000 jobs between October and January, marking the highest workforce reduction in the company's history.
