Amazon Driver Caught Trying to Open Homeowner's Front Door
A King County woman has had a harrowing experience with an Amazon delivery driver who tried to open her front door during a late-night drop-off.
Denise Angelone said she was startled and scared when she saw the driver, wearing what appeared to be an Amazon vest, try to open her front door. The incident occurred around 11pm, and security video footage showed the driver pulling up in the driveway, putting down bags of groceries, and then attempting to open the door.
Angelone immediately called Amazon and reported the incident. She said she feels that Amazon is taking the situation seriously, as they have contacted her multiple times and are conducting their own investigation. According to Angelone, Amazon believes the driver was subcontracted through another company.
