Amazon Driver Found Dead in Vehicle in Fruitland Park

An Amazon delivery driver was found unresponsive in her vehicle in Fruitland Park, Florida.

The female driver, whose identity has not been released, was pronounced dead at a local hospital after being transported from the scene by Lake County Fire Rescue Special Operations and EMS.

The incident occurred on Monday evening, August 10, around 7:22 p.m. when deputies responded to a report of an Amazon delivery vehicle that had been running while stationary for an extended period of time.

Lake County Sheriff's Office detectives are continuing to investigate the cause of death, which remains unclear at this time.
