Amazon Drone Deliveries Set to Take Flight in South Jersey This Fall

Amazon is set to launch drone deliveries in certain parts of South Jersey this fall. The areas affected include nearly all of Mantua Township and the Borough of Wenonah, with the drones launching from an Amazon facility in West Deptford Township.

The delivery operation will be limited to 15 minutes before sunrise and ending 15 minutes after sunset, with the drones authorized to operate at altitudes below 400 feet.

Mantua Township Mayor Bob Zimmerman stated that residents have 'no say over the matter' regarding the drone deliveries, as they are a planned operation by Amazon.
