Amazon Drone Drops Package into Texas Woman's Pool

A Texas woman received an Amazon Prime Air delivery notification earlier this week, which led her to go outside and watch as the drone approached her home. Unfortunately for her, the package was dropped into her swimming pool instead of being placed safely on the ground.

Lindsey Austen reported hearing the loud buzzing of the drone arriving and ran outside to record the delivery. To her surprise, it landed in her pool, leaving her shocked and unimpressed with the service. 'When it went into the pool, I was shocked. I don't think I'll be wanting any more drone deliveries,' she said.

The incident occurred coinciding with Amazon's announcement to expand its Prime Air drone delivery network in the US. The company plans to reach hundreds of additional locations, aiming to cover 500 cities by the end of the year. Prime Air has already completed hundreds of thousands of deliveries this year.
