Amazon Drones Keep Dropping Packages into Pools and Ponds
Amazon's drone delivery service has been making headlines for its efficiency and reach, but it seems that some packages are landing in unexpected places. A recent video shared by ABC7 News Bay Area shows a Prime Air drone hovering over a customer's pool in Texas before dropping the package into the water.
This isn't an isolated incident; similar videos have emerged from Arizona and May, where drones dropped packages near pools and ponds. In one instance, a customer let Amazon choose the delivery location for them, which may have contributed to the mishap.
Amazon has stated that its drones check for obstacles before delivering packages, but it appears they might need to add water to their list of things to watch out for. The company has halted drone deliveries in certain areas due to technical issues and safety concerns.
