Amazon Executives Unload Over $15 Million in Stock Amid Elevated Insider Selling
Amazon has faced fresh scrutiny after six senior executives sold more than $15 million worth of company stock in a single day.
The largest sale came from CEO Andy Jassy, who disposed of 20,000 shares for about $5.18 million on Wednesday.
AWS chief Matthew Garman sold approximately $3.76 million, while Chief Financial Officer Brian Olsavsky and Amazon Stores chief Douglas Herrington each sold roughly $1.6 million in shares.
This insider selling comes during a month of elevated sales, with Jeff Bezos disclosing plans to sell as much as $4 billion of Amazon stock earlier in August.
