Amazon Expands Cargo Fleet with Converted Airbus Purchase

Amazon continues to expand its fleet of cargo aircraft with the acquisition of a converted Airbus A330-300. The plane, with serial number 1546 and powered by Trent 700 engines, was formerly operated by Philippine Airlines before being retired in April 2023.

According to flight-tracking data, the aircraft arrived at Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport on August 28 after leaving passenger service. Unit 1546 has been spotted outside the STARCO facility since August 31.
