Amazon Expands Drone Delivery to Half a Thousand Cities

Amazon Prime is expanding its air drone delivery service to nearly 500 cities and towns by the end of the year. Currently, only a few hundred cities receive this service.

The online retail giant says that over 60% of items ordered by customers fit into the category that can be delivered by drone - an item weighing 5 pounds or less and fitting inside a large shoebox.

This expansion means that Prime members will have access to fast delivery on a wide range of products. Orders can arrive in as little as 30 minutes, with most within 60 minutes after purchase.
