Amazon Expands Same-Day Delivery in Louisville with New Facility
Amazon is expanding its same-day delivery capabilities in Louisville, Kentucky, by building a new facility that will create hundreds of jobs. The 324,500-square-foot facility at 8001 Air Commerce Drive will use advanced robotics and streamlined fulfillment technology to process tens of thousands of customer orders daily.
The company plans to hire full-time employees who will earn an average of $23 per hour, with benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage starting on their first day. Amazon also offers up to 20 weeks of paid parental leave, 401(k) matching, and access to its Career Choice education program.
The facility will support 1-hour and 3-hour delivery services for Prime members in the region. It will also feature autonomous mobile robots that can transport products throughout the building, reducing physical strain on workers while improving safety and operational efficiency.
